RideKC Earn-A-Bike + Bike Club
We are excited to announce that Healing House and the Recovery Community Center has partnered with the RideKC program. Our participants engage in a multi week course that covers routine maintenance, road safety, skills practice and instructor led road trips. Michael Liimatta began working with Healing House in January 2020. He has served in leadership positions with nonprofit organizations for over thirty years. Most of that time was spent with organizations that help the homeless and people who suffer from substance use disorders. HH Closes on Site for New Addiction Recovery Center
On Thursday, September 28, Healing House become official owners of the future home of the Addiction Recovery Center (ARC)! Renovation work is scheduled to begin this Fall. Generous donations from Healing House supporters and grant-makers will allow for the expansion of our facilities and addiction recovery services. Madeline’s Swaddle House
We welcomed our first mother into Madeline’s Swaddle House in February of 2017. Located a half-block east of the Recovery Community Center, this house is named in honor and recognition of a couple whose financial generosity was extremely instrumental in making this housing project possible. Madeline’s House will provide safe, supporting housing for expecting mothers and women with infants.
