The Community Outreach Center

The Community Outreach Center

Since 2002, Healing House has been a beacon of hope, providing recovery housing and support services primarily for residents of our facilities. Now, with the Community Outreach Center, we extend our reach to the broader Historic Northeast Kansas City community.

The Community Outreach Center is dedicated to bridging systemic gaps and ensuring access to essential services. We offer resource information and referrals to everyone who walks through our doors. Additionally, we provide free Narcan and Fentanyl test strips, along with training on their use. Through partnerships with local organizations, we have expanded our programs to include essential toiletries, sack lunches, and HIV/HEP-C testing.

Our mission goes beyond immediate assistance. We are committed to fostering long-term relationships and creating a supportive network for those in need. By collaborating with other community organizations, we aim to address the root causes of systemic issues and work towards sustainable solutions.

As we grow, our commitment remains unwavering: nurturing the connections we’ve built and empowering our community. Through ongoing collaboration, we strive to uplift and support everyone, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and valued. Our vision is a community where every individual has the resources and support they need to thrive.
