Healing House provides outpatient treatment and recovery support services for individuals who suffer from substance use disorders. These services include group therapy, counseling, classes, and recovery coaching. Our services are provided by a team of professional therapists, substance abuse counselors, and certified peer support specialists. This approach combines clinical expertise with lived experience, ensuring a well-rounded support system for participants. Those involved with the outpatient treatment program stay in one of our beginner recovery homes; Cornerstone, Mama Judi’s, or Purple House.
The ASAM Criteria
- Level 1 outpatient treatment consists of treatment for substance use that is less than 9 hours a week. Level 1 is appropriate for people with less severe disorders, or as a step-down from more intensive services.
- Level 2.1 is intensive outpatient services consisting of at least 9 and no more than 20 hours per week of treatment.
Therapy groups meet in the evenings at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Intensive Outpatient programming is on Monday – Friday, 8:00 to 4:00 PM with various options available. (download the schedule)

Financial assistance for the outpatient treatment program is available through Jackson County COMBAT and the State of Missouri’s Recovery Support Services program.
Healing House is accredited by CARF International for our Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, and Case Management/Services Coordination programs. This public seal is a symbol of trust and an indication of this organization’s commitment to quality based on internationally accepted standards. This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to exceptional, personalized care.
Healing House is also certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Services to provide substance use disorder treatment; Levels I, II & III.
Our community outreach and recovery community centers offer support groups and other activities to support people in recovery. Participants have access to an employment specialist and PCs to learn digital skills, conduct job searches, and update their resumes.
