Madeline’s Swaddle House

Madeline’s Swaddle House

We welcomed our first mother into Madeline’s Swaddle House in February of 2017.  Located a half-block east of the Recovery Community Center, this house is named in honor and recognition of a couple whose financial generosity was extremely instrumental in making this housing project possible. Madeline’s House will provide safe, supporting housing for expecting mothers and women with infants.

We are grateful for the many volunteers who helped renovate this once-dilapidated house to make it a home for our expecting mothers and their children!

Over 30 volunteers from the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (COR, downtown campus) spent several hours helping. They cleaned up the house and also cleared out and spruced up the yard and landscaping. The adjacent cottage will be the new site for the Changing Station Daycare.
