At the age of 17, Krystal experienced her first downfall. A car accident left her injured and introduced her to painkillers. What seemed harmless at first soon spiraled into chaos, as Krystal’s reliance on pain medication grew. She began experimenting with other drugs and alcohol, leading her down a destructive path.
Addiction consumed Krystal’s life, transforming her into a person she never wanted to be. She lost her dignity and any chance of living a normal life. She hit rock bottom, finding herself homeless, sleeping in a tent in the woods with nowhere to go and no one to call. Her addiction cost her everything – her marriage, her son, her career, and her relationships with her family.
Eventually, Krystal grew tired of the party lifestyle and longed for safety and normalcy. After spending two months in jail, she finally reached a turning point and became ready for a change.
In 2021, Krystal found solace and hope at Healing House. She embarked on a mission to reclaim her life. She worked to rebuild her relationship with God and restore the connections she had lost with her loved ones, including her son.
Krystal emerged from the grip of addiction, stronger and more appreciative of life’s blessings. She regained her dignity, repaired her shattered life, and embraced a newfound sense of normalcy.
