Non-Cash Donations

When participants arrive at Healing House they receive a package of hygiene items: towel, wash cloth, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste/toothbrush.

We provide recovery housing for nearly 200 men, women and children everyday. So, we are always happy for donations of food, clothing, household and hygiene products. We also accept furniture donations for our homes and to assist individuals and families who complete our program and move into their own housing.

Items we need for the Fall/Winter:

  • Winter Coats & Light Jackets/Sweatshirts
  • Socks
  • Undergarments (for both men and women)
  • Bath Towels
  • Hygiene Products
  • Twin Size Mattresses/Bedding

Food: Serving our residents three healthy meals a day, we always need such items as:

  • Meat products
  • Eggs
  • Bread
  • Sugar
  • Butter/Margarine
  • Snacks
  • Bottled water and Gatorade
  • Coffee, cocoa, and tea
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables

Household Items: supplies to help us keep a clean and safe home for program participants

Furniture: We furnish thirteen recovery residences and over thirty resident apartments. We also assist program graduates with furniture when they move to permanent housing.

How to make and in-kind donation

Donations can also be dropped off at our administrative offices at 4505 St. John KCMO weekdays, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please call ahead,  (816) 920-7181
