McNeely House

McNeely House

In May of 2017, Healing House grieved the loss of a very dear friend of the ministry, Greg McNeely. For the past several years, Greg was very devoted to our community and encouraged many on their recovery and faith journey. Healing House residents would look forward to seeing him at weekly meetings, Bible studies and events. Through his battle with cancer, it seemed Greg always had a smile on his face and a hug to offer.

Greg’s legacy will live on at Healing House through the McNeely Home. Our men’s home, located on the intersection of Cypress and Independence, will be dedicated in memory of our dear friend and supporter.

The Resurrection Thursday Housing and Construction Crew has been hard at work renovating the McNeely Home. Since 2011, this crew has consistently donated their Thursday’s to working on various construction and renovation projects at Healing House.

The Thursday Crew consists mainly of retired Black and Veatch engineers including: James Patton, Alan South, Rod Bosma, John Briggs, Ed Schulteis, Tom Mendall, Jay Burrell, Fred Randazzo, Robert Scearce, Bob Turrel, Steve Rohleder, Jim Kotas, Leroy Kashka, Mike Schnieders, Bill Ernst, John Potter and Dave Crabtree. In addition to their time serving Healing House, they also volunteer their services to the Hope Center, Hope House, and several inner city schools. One of the reasons they enjoy serving at Healing House is because they get to see the impact of the work that they do.

Thank you to our Thursday Crew for giving of your time and skills – we appreciate you!
